Action Conquers Fear
How to Overcome Fear
Throughout life we encounter many different obstacles, whether they have a positive or negative outcome. But every time we have a failure in life or something that just didn’t get the result that we wanted, we usually dwell on the negative or regret the past the decisions made.
Eleanor Roosevelt once said:
“I believe that anyone can conquer fear by doing the
things he fears to do, provided he keeps doing them until he gets a successful
experience behind him.”
Instead we need to learn to find the positive and re-evaluate our failures and defeats and obtain what we can learn from them. It goes the same for our fears we have in life. Take a good look at what your fears are, whether it be public speaking, heights, spiders, or just picking that phone up to call someone. ACTION CONQUERS FEAR! This is a saying that I live my life by. The only thing that will remove fear is acting on it.
There are many ways to re-evaluate your failures. Right down and evaluate the actions that made it not a successful try and see what you can learn from this. Don’t say “I wish I would have done this!” say ” Next time this is what I will do!” Because beating yourself up about the past is going to get you know where in life. If you plan for the future and prepare yourself in life, that is whats going to take you to where ever your heart desires!

Action Conquers Fear
Here are some simple actions I continue to practice with conquering fear. First I act on it. Do whatever i am fearful of. But if I can’t quite do that I ask a friend or loved one that can help walk me through what I might be doing wrong or listen to some tips on what they think might change the outcome. Maybe a mentor can help you. Someone that you are very comfortable with, someone you trust and have total faith in their judgment. They will always be there for you to help you, guide you, and support you to your way of conquering that fear and to total success.
To Your Success on everything you pursue in life,

P.S. Do you have any stories from experience when you applied action to fear?

Finding the positive in a negative situation is the way to go. It's not easy, but definitely worthwhile. It's also called "reframing" the situation. And when an experience is re-framed in our minds, we see the whole thing in a different light. This can take away the sting of the original situation. Good post!
Thanks Pastor I appreciate it! Thanks for sharing the phrase "Re-Framing" Much better way to put it! Hope to talk soon.
Hi Kyle,
Be so happy with yourself that you know this truth about conquering your fears at such a young age. Now you can go and take action to accomplish whatever you desire in your life.
Eleanor Roosevelt's quote is so fitting to your post that it was the perfect selection and is certainly one we should live by. Thanks for including it in your post. Summarizing it into Action Conquers Fear as you did works very well too!
Continue to develop yourself and apply what you learn and you will be unstoppable!
Dawn and (Dave)
Hey Dawn and Dave,
Thanks so much for the kind words. I am so blessed that I have had such great mentors in my life and have taught me so many essential things to continue life's journey to my best ability.
I was reading a book on the Roosevelt family and this one quote stuck in my mind since then and just had to figure out a way to incorporate it in a post!
Thanks again guys!

Great post, Kyle! You are right on with that. Action does conquer fear. I know I find that the longer I put off something I am afraid of doing, the harder it is, because of the weight of the burden that keeps growing and growing. It's so much better when I "just do it!"

Love this post Kyle! Fear is a merciless dream taker and if you don't face it, it will rob you of your dreams and your future.
Hey Lidia!
Thanks for the kind words. I couldn't agree more with you. Fear is the dream catcher, but we have to learn to be strong and conquer it!
God Bless,
Kyle
Focusing on past failures is something that we should avoid at all times. When we feel down or discouraged we should instead think of our past achievements and how to achieve other great things in the future.
