Goal Setting Turns Dreams into Reality

We all have dreams in life, but so many of us tend never to take action on these dreams, which means these dreams will sadly never come true. A great way to start to work towards these dreams today is goal setting. Through goal setting you can set specific goals that help you achieve your dreams. By putting deadlines on the goals it becomes an effective measuring tool for you to use for turning dreams into reality.

In order to have dreams become real you must have goals set in accordance with it. In other words, once you have identified what your dreams are, you must manifest and create goals that will help you move and take a step forward towards your dreams. Through making a series of goals it will help you obtain your dreams.

Just like goals, dreams must have a deadline put on them or in other words time-bound. As humans we all tend to procrastinate. It is so easy for us to put off things that we could get done today until tomorrow. This is why we must put a deadline on all goals, mini and maxi and small and large.  With this comes making realistic goals. Don’t put a deadline on a goal that you know you can’t accomplish it in the timely manner, for example setting the goal of losing 35 pounds in 10 days.

Once these goals are set in place, they naturally become a great way and tool for monitoring your progression towards achieving your dreams in life! Each goal becomes a great milestone on your pathway to your dreams.

To your success in goal setting and dream making,

Kyle Nelson

Goal setting is a good practice all around. It is certainly something I struggle with occasionally as I run out of time and get distracted. I really feel that things are falling into place now finally so should be seeing some results soon.

It is so true how important it is to set realistic goals. I always think it is important to take into account the unexpected time demands that happen to all of us. Take care Rosemary

    • Hey Rosemary,
Yes realistic goals are one of the keys to maintianing a goal. I think many of us feel some goals are realistic and then fall short because we didnt attach a realistic deadline to it!

  3. I’m probably not the only one, Kyle, who’s been trapped into thinking I’m accomplishing something simply by getting through my daily “to-do” list.

With sincere goal-planning as you outline here, though, all that “to-do” accomplishment gets you nowhere in terms of realizing your dreams. Gotta do the goal-setting to step up your game.

Thanks for the clear guidance here, Kyle.

    • Hey David, Yes I must agree, the good ole “to-do” list! Goal setting with a deadline is such a great way to reach your dreams in life and when those deadlines are not met, put a new one on the goal. I think this is where a lot of people get discouraged when we fail to meat a goal by a certian date we give up, but who ever said we can’t give ourselves some more time?
      Thanks for sharing David

  4. Excellent advice Kyle. I do believe there’s a lot more work that needs to go into the planning prior to actually setting goals – otherwise our goals tend to take on the look of a list of “shoulds” rather than meaningful tools to help us create our best life. Thanks for the inspiration!

    • Hi Marquita,
Thanks for the compliment. That is a great point and I agree with you that there is a lot of prior work that needs to be done before goal setting but once we get it out of the way and start on our journey to our dream its an amazing feeling of accomplishment!

Goals setting is the way to fulfill your dream and for me a dream is not that you see when you sleep but its something that never lets you sleep. And as explained here goal setting is the first step towards fulfilling your wishes. Thanks a lot for this wonderful article.
